Lapis Lazuli is one of the most sought after stones since time began. Its deep, celestial blue remains the symbol of royality and honour, gods, goddesses and power, spirit and vision. It is a universal symbol of wisdom and truth.

Lapis Lazuli is a powerful crystal for activating the higher mind and inner truth whilst heightening intellectual ability. Its magick stimulates the innate desire for knowledge, truth, and understanding. This stone also possesses mystical powers to enhance memory.

According to mythology, Lapis Lazuli, resembling the blue of both the heavens and the deepest oceans, was believed to counteract the wiles of the spirits of darkness and procure the aid and favour of the spirits of light and wisdom.

A stone of truth, Lapis Lazuli encourages honesty of the spirit, and deep communication with yourself and others. This along with all of its other qualities, makes Lapis Lazuli a particularly precious stone for use in meditation.

A mala is simply a string of beads that are used in meditation practice, or worn as jewellery. It is a tool to help you count mantras, and acts as a tactile guide as you sit in silence. Malas can be made of many materials but we only use authentic gemstones.

Mala beads have been used by Yogis and Spiritual Seekers for thousands of years to help keep their minds focused during meditation. Malas were first created in India 3000 years ago and were used for a special style of meditation called "Japa", which means, "to recite". The term 'mala' is a Sanskrit word for "meditation garland".

A true sign of a traditionally crafted mala, overhand knotting not only makes the mala stronger, it also provides the perfect space for Japa Meditation - a meditation that uses each bead to count a repetition of a mantra.

The tassel's significance has multiple meanings. One that resonates with us is that as the strings come together as one to form the tassel, it represents our connection to the Divine, the Universe, and to each other. We love the concept of it representing Oneness.
